New upgraded model is destructive to my home. I initially thought that I was sent a defective unit, so I returned it and had it replaced but the new unit has the same issue so it makes me think it’s an issue with the model.I have this item with the splash guard attached. Sometimes it works great and other times it will slowly leak from the top seam of the tray. It will continue to leak as water is pumping until it has pumped all the water out onto the floor. It happens relatively quickly (over the course of a day), but slow enough that you don’t notice it until a huge mess has been made all over your floor.Absolute garbage, I had the older model of this fountain and loved it but replaced it with this because it was old and starting to wear down. Also because my cat loves to splash the water making the splash guard necessary. Makes me wish I had never replaced it.
This item is fine as a cat water fountain, however“smart “capabilities are garbage. It will not stay connected to the Wi-Fi, and I literally positioned it right next to the router to see if that would make a difference and it did not. It gets awfully tiresome having to reconnect it multiple times a day. It does not calibrate on a flat surface, so it will not tell me the information on water volume that reflects how much my cat has drank. For a cat water dish that cost almost $100, I expected more. I will be returning this piece of garbage and buying one from a different brand.
This water fountain and I have had many words since I have acquired it about 15 days ago. The fountain will be 3/4 full and randomly stop flowing water. I will look at the app and there is no notification of low water. I’ve changed location to see if the fountain may of been on a slight incline but nothing helps. It continues to do it every 3-4 days. It is very quiet and holds plenty of water but none of that means anything if it won’t produce the water for my animals! Will be returning and continuing my search for a water fountain for my animals.
The whole package of replacement filters seem cheaply made. The black filter is not the same size or density as the original and the filter is no longer a 4-layer filtration as claimed. I contacted Petlibro who tried to tell me I bought fake replacement set until I pointed out that it was from their own PETLIBRO store on Amazon. And then they came back saying that they are in fact the original replacements and all of the filters work. They do not work like the originals. I end up cleaning and replacing my filters every 3-4 days, otherwise there is pink slime/mold. Wish I can return the fountain and all of the replacements for a refund.
This is a terrible fountain in an expensive package. Simply put this fountain regularly overflows. The filter jams up with sludge from cat saliva and then the (maybe) 1 cm reservoir can’t handle the flow. So, it dumps the water on the floor. Has happened several times. Finally got fed up and chucked it in the trash. Easy to clean is a loaded statement too. The cover for the filter is hard to pop off and I feel like I’m going to break it every time. The cover of the impeller is the same. That one hurts my finger every time.Summary: expensive fountain that is amazing at causing water damage to your house. It’s a pain to clean even though faster to do that several others. Don’t waste your money on this.
